Activities

The Legion aims to bring Mary to the world as the infallible means of winning the world to Jesus. In order to do so, the legionaries set themselves out in a mission and do numerous apostolic works which is part of their duties. Listed below are some of the regular activities done and performed by the Legionaries of San Roque Parish Church.

Holy Rosary (Every Monday at 6pm)
The Holy Rosary is a weekly activity done by Legion of Mary (Senior and Junior Praesidium) every Mondays of 6pm in San Roque Parish Church. It is done in front of the altar of Nuestra SeƱora Dela Soldedad De Porta Vaga where the whole Tessera is being read along with the rosary.

Block Rosary (Every Tuesdays to Fridays)
Legionaries of San Roque Parish Church shows their devotion to Our Lady of Porta Vaga by bringing the image of Mary from one house to another. A special veneration is given to Mary during the term of the image's stay. It is a powerful means to deepen Christian life in the family and in groups of families through community building and concern. It also intensifies the devotion for Jesus and for the Virgin Mary.

Jail Mass
Jail mass is a monthly activity of Legion. In cooperation with the Church's ministry, we organize a mass inside the jail to spread the word of God to the fellow inmates. Before the mass, the inmates were encouraged to pray the rosary. They may not be able to attend the weekly mass in church and receive the holy Eucharist, at least, through this activity, they will be able to do so.
Hospital Visitation
Hospital visitation is yet another monthly activity of Legion that aims to visit our brothers and sisters who currently suffers from great illnesses. We visit them, briefly interrogates their condition and of course offer them prayers.
Market Visitation
As what the term connotes, this is also a monthly activity done by our legionaries. It aims to visit our fellow vendors and provide some spiritual support and to encourage them to attend the mass despite of their busy working schedules.
